Jim Thorpe serves as Director of Development and Fundholder Services for the Community Foundation for the CSRA, bringing decades of experience in business development, relationship building, and community engagement to the role.

Prior to joining the Community Foundation, Jim served as Vice President of Business Development for Ellefson Transportation Group. Throughout his career, he has built strong relationships across the region and has been actively involved in numerous civic and nonprofit organizations, including the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Augusta, Lynndale, Inc., the Association of the United States Army, and the American Red Cross of Augusta.

In his role at the Community Foundation, Jim works closely with fundholders, donors, professional advisors, and community partners to strengthen relationships, support charitable giving, and help individuals and families make a lasting impact in the communities they care about.

Jim and his wife, Kelly, have been married for 34 years and have two sons. Outside of work, he enjoys playing golf and guitar. His deep roots in the region and longstanding commitment to service reflect his passion for helping build a stronger community for generations to come.
