Strengthening Nonprofits
Nonprofits play a fundamental role in creating a thriving community. The Community Foundation for the CSRA seeks to address nonprofit capacity building needs in our six-county focus area by offering a Capacity Building Cohort for Nonprofit Leaders. This cohort seeks to address operational capacity around issues such as board development, financial management, staffing and other barriers that hinder the effective operation of an organization. Participants will receive training as a group, offering peer learning and engagement opportunities throughout the process.
Those served by this capacity building program will be nonprofit leaders (at the CEO/Executive Director level) representing new and small nonprofits in the CSRA.
The cohort program will run from January – December, ending with an opportunity for participating organizations to receive a micro grant to support capacity building needs.
