Job Title: Director of Development and Fundholder Services
Reports to: President/CEO
Location: Augusta, Georgia (in-office, with travel across the six-county service area)
Status: Full-time, exempt

We are hiring a Director of Development and Fundholder Services to lead our efforts to grow our assets under management by developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential fundholders, donors, area nonprofits, community partners, and other key constituents.
What You Will Do:
Development & Fund Growth
- Develop and implement fundraising strategies to increase assets under management, regularly reporting on progress to the President/CEO and Board of Directors.
- Work with fundholders and their families to develop philanthropic strategies to deepen their philanthropic impact.
- Oversee fund development process to ensure potential donors and their professional advisors are informed, engaged, and onboarded to the Community Foundation.
- In partnership with the CFO, perform regular outreach to professional advisors regarding the services available to their clients through the CFCSRA.
- Serve as the primary contact for prospects and inquiries from potential donors.
Fundholder Services & Stewardship
- Maintain strong relationships with current fundholders, always providing them with an exceptional service experience.
- Receive, interpret, implement, communicate and document donor wishes, plans and actions, including drafting fund agreements and amendments.
- Manage the development and maintenance of systems for record-keeping and communication with donors, prospects, and professional advisors.
- Collaborating with the team, prepare all informational materials and reports to donors, prospective donors and professional advisors.
Marketing & Community Engagement
- With the Director of Marketing, shape marketing communications and strategy related to development and fund growth.
- Draft and edit donor, prospect, and professional advisor related content on the website, including planned giving.
- Represent the CFCSRA at community, donor, philanthropic and professional advisor functions.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Professional Development
- Work with the program, finance and grant teams to align donor interests with community needs and impact storytelling.
- Serve as a thought partner and support colleagues to execute cross-functional work effectively.
- Perform research on legal and operational updates related to Donor Advised Funds as well as attend professional development conferences related to growing assets and understanding the legal and structural aspects of component funds at a community foundation.
Who You Are:
- Minimum: Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree a plus. At least five years of professional experience in development, legal, or financial services field; ideally including cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding clients.
- Strategic and analytical thinker with professional track record for providing client services while adhering to very high standards of service excellence, responsiveness, and integrity.
- Demonstrated high level of initiative and responsibility to manage a variety of projects simultaneously from start to a successful and timely conclusion.
- Well organized, self-motivated, and flexible in adjusting to changing circumstances.
- Relationship driven professional with ability to effectively interact with existing and prospective donors, community leaders, professional advisors, and representatives from non-profit organizations.
- Sound judgment and discretion in handling highly sensitive and confidential information involving a diverse donor and prospect population.
- Ability to take a proactive role in team efforts, foster cooperation and collaboration, and encourage open communication across multidisciplinary teams.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present effectively to small and large audiences.
- Proficiency with MS Office and willingness to learn CommunitySuite, a comprehensive foundation management solution designed for community foundations.

Salary and Benefits:
This is a full-time exempt position. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
