Investing in our nonprofits and leaving a lasting impact on our region
Our grants are lifelines that connect us with the nonprofit community – who in turn provide needed programs and services to the men, women, children, and families of our community who are striving for a better life.
As a community foundation, we are strategic and responsive to the changing needs of our residents, workers, and communities. Through our grantmaking programs, we support a six-county area that includes Richmond, Burke, McDuffie, and Columbia counties in Georgia and Aiken and Edgefield counties in South Carolina.
We offer several grantmaking programs and partner with other organizations to facilitate grant programs that improve lives for those in the CSRA. We invite you to learn more about how we are investing in local nonprofits and learn more about how to apply for funding by clicking below.
A Grant Can Change a Life
The RECing Crew
Our mission had always been to offer recreational and social programs for those with disabilities within our community. An unexpected positive result of our bowling program, ‘AlleyCats’ has been the positive impact it has had on the other family members and caregivers of the bowlers! During the two hours, while our participants are bowling, their family members socialize, develop new friendships and network with families that they have something in common with. They share their knowledge of how to navigate this world for someone with a special need, allowing them to become better advocates for their children, no matter their age. Thank you for helping us with our mission!
Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia
After the restoration of Camp Tanglewood, we were able to welcome several local Girl Scout troops back to camp for meetings after being displaced by Hurricane Helene. These troops had been without a permanent meeting space for some time. We also hosted leader trainings in specialized camping techniques and welcomed a group of Girl Scouts who had previously been unable to attend overnight camp due to unsafe conditions. With the bathhouses repaired and up to code, these girls experienced their first-ever camping trip—learning outdoor skills, building friendships, and gaining confidence. Parents shared how their daughters returned more independent and connected to their community. Camp Tanglewood is once again a safe, enriching space for growth, learning, and lifelong memories.
