The Border Bash Foundation Grant Information

About the Annual Border Bash Event

Border Bash has become an annual tradition occuring in downtown Augusta, Georgia on the Friday before the Georgia - South Carolina football game. Supported by numerous local sponsors, the evening event, celebrating its 23rd year, brings together over 10,000 UGA - USC fans of all ages for some pre-game family fun and rivalry to raise money for the children's charities in the CSRA. The Gamecock and Georgia cheerleaders along with team mascots, Cocky and Hairy Dawg, join the party each year that includes family and musical entertainment as well as team logo and food vendors from around the area.

Cocky and Hairy Dawg | The Community Foundation

Border Bash Foundation, Inc., itself a 501(c)(3) organization, uses the money raised by the annual Border Bash event to benefit other area 501(c)(3) organizations focused on positively impacting children. Since its inception, Border Bash has donated over $900,000 to various charities with grants ranging in amount from $2,500 to $7,500.

How to Apply for a Border Bash Foundation Grant

Area 501(c)(3) organizations whose focus is to positively impact children should submit a letter by September 14, 2018 including:

1. name of organization
2. mission of organization
3. target population of organization
3. programs provided by organization
4. program(s) needing funding
