Fundholder Services Associate

For almost 30 years, the Community Foundation for the CSRA has faithfully connected the philanthropic spirit of our community members with nonprofits and community initiatives throughout Richmond, Columbia, McDuffie, Burke, Aiken and Edgefield counties. Our team is continually growing and evolving. We are caring, collaborative and focused on making a big impact. We are hiring a Fundholder Services Associate to work across the team to help develop and grow strong relationships with donors and fundholders, area nonprofits, community partners, Board of Directors, and other key constituents. The position requires a “do whatever it takes” philosophy to exceed donor expectations, practice effective grantmaking and communicate the work of the CFCSRA to its broad community.

What You Will Do:

Execute Cross-Team/Functional Operations

Donor Relations

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with fundholders, donors, and other members of the community always providing them an exceptional experience.
  • Perform administrative functions related to the Foundation’s gift receipt and grantmaking processes including preparation, processing, and acknowledgment.
  • Manage, update, and maintain database with vital profile information about newly established funds, new and current donors, grantees and vendors. Assist in data analysis and reporting.

Communication

  • Serve as a first point of contact and help engage with opportunities across the organization.
  • Ensure the well-being of visitors and staff by creating a welcoming office environment consistent with the Foundation’s values.
  • Board Member and Staff Engagement
  • Engage the Board and Staff by working with the President and CEO to design and execute board meetings, staff meetings, and team retreats to optimize organizational culture and impact.

Finance and Administration

  • Provide assistance to the President/CEO with administrative duties and complete a broad variety of administrative tasks that include coordinating and scheduling meetings for the President/CEO and other leadership as well as compiling documents for presentations and meetings as needed.
  • Provide support to staff with presentation and video conferencing setup and troubleshoot as necessary.
  • Manage and execute all aspects of office operations including incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, landlord relations, office and kitchen supplies and onsite equipment.

Policies and Procedures

  • Oversee organization’s shared file systems, ensuring proper file protocol, maintenance and back-up procedures. Document policies and procedures and provide onboarding support for all new staff, including training on shared systems and processes.
  • Analyze new and existing funds and work with relevant team members to ensure accuracy and compliance. Manage and ensure the accuracy of fund files in all databases.

  • Design and execute new projects and opportunities that enable us to grow stronger as an organization and serve our fundholders effectively.

What Would Be Great to Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required, with a minimum of 2 years of experience
  • Must exercise discretion with highly sensitive and confidential information and demonstrate good judgment in working with a diverse donor and prospect population
  • Excellent skills and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; working with databases and internet research; ability to learn community foundation software and website platform.

Salary and Benefits:

This is a full-time exempt position. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
The Community Foundation provides ten paid holidays and seventeen days of paid time off. We offer a generous retirement plan, health, dental and vision benefits as well as life insurance, short-term and long-term disability.
