Step 1: Information from our Grant Seeker Session held on June 29, 2021 can be found by clicking on one of the below links. Please note: If your organization has never applied for a grant or has not received a site visit in the past three years, someone from your organization must have attended the training on June 29 or must watch the recorded version linked below.
Step 2: Register/Login to our online grant system
First-time applicants will be prompted to create an account. If you have applied in the past, use your existing log-in.
Step 3: Submit a proposal
You may use some of our helpful tools below as you complete your proposal. You do not have to complete your application in one sitting, but final applications must be submitted by the grant deadline to be considered.
Step 4: Complete the Electronic Funds Transfer Authorization Form
The Community Foundation is transitioning to Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) payments. If your organization would like to participate, please complete the EFT Authorization Form in your Grants Portal. If you prefer to have a mailed check, please let Community Foundation staff know so we can mark our system appropriately. Should you receive funding through the Community Foundation, your organization will be notified of the transaction date, the amount, and its purpose. If your organization has previously submitted this form, please review the form which can be located by clicking Organization History on your Applicant Dashboard. Let Community Foundation staff know if there have been any changes to your account information.
Grant recipients must complete final reports that reflect on their progress toward the outcomes targeted in the grant proposal. Through these reports, both Foundation staff and your organization are able to gather valuable feedback and knowledge that can inform future work.
- Submit a six-month report by July 15.
- Submit a final year end report by January 15 of the following year.
- Summer programs can submit just the year end report by August 30, 2022.
If you spent all of your money AND completed all your outcomes when the six-month report is due, you may skip that report and submit a final report instead. We understand that COVID-19 may have impacted your ability to complete your outcomes as originally submitted. If you have questions about how to talk about outcomes please contact Rebecca Wallace.
Budgets and outcomes play a large role in the success of your grant application. Check out the tips and resources we’ve provided to help make developing them easier.
A site visit can be one of the most important tools grantmakers use in determining funding decisions. Learn more about how to prepare so your visit complements your proposal and offers a clearer picture of your request.
