Organization Funds

Create financial sustainability for your nonprofit

Charitable organizations can create funds to support their operations and programs with an Organization Fund. This type of fund helps your organization take an important step toward growing your financial future and frees your staff from the administrative burdens of endowment management and reporting. We work closely with you to establish a fund that achieves your organization’s needs today and into the future.

Individuals may donate to an already established organization fund at any time and be secure in the knowledge that their donation is held with a permanent community resource and stewarded by the Community Foundation’s responsible guidance. Supporters may leave a gift through their wills and trusts, and we can facilitate even the most complex planned gifts, including gifts of appreciated stock or real estate.

“The top priority of a donor who contributes to an endowment is to ensure the long term health of the organization they care for the most. A well-managed endowment, on average, will earn more through its investments than it distributes to support of the underlying organization. Proper management ensures that the endowment will grow in size and its ability to give consistent, if not increasing, amounts to support the overall important mission of the nonprofit. Endowments are the geese that lay many golden eggs.”
