Augusta CSRA Habitat for Humanity
Augusta/CSRA Habitat for Humanity builds strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter. Our program is to build affordable housing for low income families. Families work hard to earn a living yet struggle with shelter because of the high cost of a decent place to live, others live in substandard conditions because it is what they can afford. Habitat gives families the opportunity to strengthen and stabilize their family by offering them a chance to purchase their own affordable home.

Community Ministry of North Augusta is a faith-based organization committed to providing compassionate Christ-centered assistance to low-income individuals and families. These services include comprehensive assessment, utility assistance, food pantry, clothes closet, personal care and household items, furniture assistance and referrals to other social service providers for assistance with housing, vocation and education, rental assistance, employment options and eviction prevention.

Friendship Community Center
Provide structured scheduled mental health guidance activities for adults suffering from long-term depression, bipolar, and schizophrenic symptoms. FCC promotes socialization, recovery, self-advocacy, development of natural supports, and maintenance of community living skills, under the direct supervision of a mental health professional. FCC conducts daily groups in a safe homelike environment for our members to explore their personal empowering goals.

GAP ministries helps the homeless and those living on the margins in Augusta. We have a food pantry, a clothing bank, and a diaper bank. We help people obtain their birth certificate and ID. We assist people with prescription medication. GAP has a Sunday night worship service followed by a meal.

Mental Health America of Aiken County (MHA)
Nurture Home is a transitional shelter for women and children who are homeless. Families are provided a safe and structured setting while participating in required interventions to facilitate stability and self-sufficiency in regard to housing. Our goal is to complement and empower each aspect of a family. Education, both for adults and children is a very important component to long lasting success.

ReStart Augusta provides beds to CSRA residents who do not have a bed and cannot afford one. We are literally getting people off the floor. Our target population is households with children and veterans. Staffed entirely with volunteers, ReStart has provided beds to 1,804 individuals. Numerous scientific studies have shown the importance of adequate sleep to success in school and at work and in maintaining good health. Surely a bed is a critical factor in obtaining that sleep.

Stand at the Crossroads Ministry

We house up to 8 single women and 5 women with children at a time.

Respecting the dignity of each person, St Vincent de Paul Georgia brings hope and help to those in need so they may find stability and move toward self-sufficiency.
Last year this translated into aide for nearly 130,000 Georgians. It added up to over 220 tons of food being distributed to those in need. We made a huge impact in the lives of those we served and those who served.
