Augusta Canal National Heritage Area

Augusta Canal NHA, Inc’s. mission is to preserve, protect & interpret the canal's man-made & natural environments through historic preservation, interpretation, education, recreation, conservation, & economic development along the canal.  We offer students GA Dept. of Education Standards-based field trips (sci, social studies, & language arts) for all grades- serving approx. 9,000 students annually.  Our Cotton Room classroom is in need of a tech update.

Augusta Westobou Festival

Westobou’s mission is to build community and inspire cultural change through engaging, creative and thought-provoking artistic experiences. Westobou accomplishes its mission through its annual 5-day Festival in the fall, which celebrates visual arts, music, dance, film and spoken word, as well as through Westobou Gallery, a contemporary gallery open year-round.

Augusta Youth Chorale

The Augusta Youth Chorale is an auditioned choir for teens (ages 13-19) in the greater Augusta area of Georgia and South Carolina.

Organized as a non-profit 501 (c)(3) in 2009, the AYC is beginning their tenth season. Honored as the featured choir for the 2012 Nation’s Capital Festival of Youth Choirs at the National Cathedral, the AYC is proud to represent our region in local performances and an annual tour.

Dance Augusta d.b.a. Colton Ballet Company of Augusta

Colton Ballet Company is the dynamic vision of Ron and Zanne Colton, Bon Ellis and a host of devoted volunteers and parents. Annually, it produces The Nutcracker and a Spring Repertory, and provides educational outreach services to children throughout the CSRA. In-school demonstrations, A Nutcracker Tea Party, and The Nutcracker outreach program, held at the Imperial Theatre, increases awareness of the arts and dance in our community.

Founded in 1937, the Gertrude Herbert Institute of Art is Augusta's only independent nonprofit visual arts school and contemporary art gallery. Our mission is to provide opportunities for visual arts education and to develop visual arts awareness and appreciation throughout the greater Augusta community. We achieve this through year-round contemporary exhibitions, professionally taught studio art classes, and outreach to disadvantaged youth.

Greater Augusta Arts Council

The Greater August Arts Council runs the Arts in the Heart of Augusta Festival. Arts in the Heart is one of the city’s most beloved festivals. Entering its 39th year, it is 2.5 days of glorious, outdoor, arts entertainment, showcasing local and regional performers on 5 stages packed with music, dance and spoken word, fine arts and crafts from local and national artists, food from Augusta’s international cultural organizations, and fabulous family fun. Every year, third weekend in September.

Historic Augusta, Inc.

Historic Augusta is dedicated to preserving historic sites and structures in Augusta and Richmond County, Georgia. We are a resource for information on historic sites and various programs that are tools for assisting and encouraging property owners to maintain and preserve their historically and architecturally significant places that give Augusta its distinctive character. We also operate the Boyhood Home of President Woodrow Wilson as a house museum.

$500 - Sixty Scholarships, given for tours of the Boyhood Home of President Woodrow Wilson & one additional historic site in Augusta, as well as a "primary source" exercise, all geared to current teaching standards
$1,000 - Paid Internship, allow us to offer a paid internship to a college student by underwriting a stipend.

Morris Museum of Art

The mission of the Morris Museum of Art is to introduce the world to the visual culture of the South through art and ideas that inspire, educate, and engage all people. The museum presents up to twenty temporary, special exhibitions annually and an ambitious roster of public programs, school tours, concerts, lectures, film screenings, lunchtime presentations on art-related topics, artist talks, book signings, and programs for everyone, including its popular Southern Soul and Songs series.

Storyland Theatre

We present live Theatre performed by adults, (locally written, original plays/musicals) for CSRA children. Audiences are have socio-economically disadvantaged students who wouldn't attend without school. We give discounts, help with bus costs.  Free to Ft. Gordon Military Families. We offer teachers GA/SC State Standards/Storyland Lesson Plan ideas.  Introducing Storyland to a child teaches love of Theatre, encouraging attendance and Arts participation. Saturday Family Matinees.
