GainsForGood Supports COVID-19 Relief

European golfer, Victor Perez, is encouraging the golfing world to support his Masters Tournament initiative, GainsForGood, aimed at supporting those throughout Augusta who have been impacted most by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Perez has committed to donate $1,000 for every birdie and $5,000 for every eagle he makes in his Masters’ debut to the CSRA COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund and is encouraging others to support the initiative as a way to support the populations in the Augusta area who are hurting most from the ongoing effects of this unprecedented public health crisis.

The impacts of COVID-19 continue to unfold with ongoing uncertainty around available resources for our most vulnerable populations. The Community Foundation for the CSRA and United Way of the CSRA remain committed to providing resources now and for the foreseeable future to support COVID-19 relief across the community, and all donations given through the GainsForGood initiative will directly support organizations working daily to serve those most impacted by the pandemic.

What is the CSRA COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund

In response to the impacts of the COVID-19 public health crisis on the Augusta community, the United Way of the CSRA and the Community Foundation for the CSRA established the CSRA COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund with the intent to react quickly and efficiently to help those organizations and individuals most in need and, over time, respond to the longer-term impacts of the crisis. Since the fund began in April, it has awarded $2.7 million to provide critical services and support where necessary. To read the full press release on the GainsForGood initiative, click here.
